Terms
These terms are between you and Paul Dunbar, doing business as Studio Dunbar (“Studio Dunbar”, “we”), and cover the Unbothered app, Unbothered Pro and this website. By using them, you agree to these terms.
The app license
Unbothered is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). These terms add to the Standard EULA. If the two ever disagree about the app, the Standard EULA wins.
What Unbothered can and can’t do
Unbothered is built on Apple’s Screen Time frameworks. It blocks the apps, categories and websites you choose during the times you set, as long as Screen Time access stays switched on for it. Blocking depends on iOS, so an iOS update, a change in your settings, or a change Apple makes can affect how it works.
It’s a tool to help you keep time for what matters, not a guarantee. Please don’t rely on it where a blocked or unblocked app could affect your safety, health or someone else’s. Unbothered isn’t parental controls and isn’t medical or mental-health advice.
Unbothered Pro
Unbothered is free with one time block. Unbothered Pro adds unlimited time blocks and the features listed in the app. Features marked “coming” aren’t built yet; we intend to add them but can’t promise when.
Plans
- Monthly, every 3 months, or yearly: auto-renewing subscriptions.
- Lifetime: a one-time purchase.
- Lifetime for family: a one-time purchase shared with your Family Sharing group.
Prices are shown in the app and on the App Store before you buy, in your local currency.
Free trial
The yearly plan may include a free trial for new subscribers. If you don’t cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it becomes a paid yearly subscription and you’re charged at the end of the trial.
Renewal and cancelling
Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You can manage or cancel any time in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions on your iPhone. If you cancel, Pro stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
Price changes
If a subscription price changes, Apple will tell you in advance and, where required, ask you to agree before you’re charged the new price.
Refunds
All purchases are made through Apple, and Apple handles refunds under its own policies. You can ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can’t issue refunds ourselves, but we’re happy to help if something’s gone wrong.
This website
This site is here to tell you about Unbothered. We may change or update it at any time. How we use analytics and advertising tools on it is explained in our privacy policy.
What’s ours
The Unbothered name, the cat and other drawings, the app’s design and this website belong to Studio Dunbar. Please don’t copy or reuse them without asking. You’re welcome to link to this site and to share screenshots of the app.
Disclaimers and limits
Unbothered and this website are provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we don’t promise they’ll be uninterrupted or error-free, and we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything that happens because an app was or wasn’t blocked. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us for Unbothered in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer law that can’t be waived.
Changes
We may update these terms. The new version will be posted here with a new date. If the change is significant, we’ll also note it in the app. Continuing to use Unbothered after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, USA, except where the law where you live says otherwise.
